Frida Kahlo’s full name was Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón, and she was born in Coyoacȧn, Mexico, on July 6th of 1907. Her father was German, and she had 3 sisters. She got polio at 6, and was in bed for nine months. She wanted to be a doctor, and got into the National Preparatory School in Mexico city. She had no interest in painting before her bus accident, but afterwards it was almost all she would do. She painted over 200 paintings in her lifetime. She then married Diego Rivera, and lived in the US between 1931 and 1934. She died in 1954.
